The group also has 29 mining operations

and is the first company to have brought

a greenfield iron ore project to operation

in West Africa, with the first shipment

of iron ore from Liberia made in

          September 2011. With the acquisition

of Baffinland Ironmines in 2010, the

          company ambitiously embarked on

the proposed development of a once

inconceivable arctic iron ore mine on

          North Baffin Island.

It’s no secret that what makes a good

company a great one is its people. People

          shape a company’s personality and

bring it to life. Afterall, it is people that

          interface with customers and suppliers.

And people that act as ambassadors in

          our communities.

Today, the Hamilton team’s ideas are

making their way around the globe. In

the air, in plants and in conference calls,

ArcelorMittal Dofasco is around the world

on assignment leaving a local footprint on

          the global scene. ArcelorMittal employees

          are transforming tomorrow through the

work they do each and everyday both in

their jobs and on their own time. While

each individual act may be considered

small, when you add them up they

make a big difference. Our people are

breathing life into our company values:

          Sustainability, Quality and Leadership.

The results are clear. In 2011,

ArcelorMittal was featured in the Aon

Hewitt ranking of ‘Top Companies for

Leaders.” It was also recognized as one

of the most admired metals companies

          in Fortune magazine’s 2012 corporate

          reputation survey. In 2011 alone,

          ArcelorMittal received 272 different

          awards, in environment, leadership, health

          and safety, communication, innovation

          and corporate responsibility.

In each case, it is the people of

          ArcelorMittal that have driven these

          accolades. Clearly, our strength

          is people.

          This is us

          From around the corner to

          around the world
